![]() Prior to his time in food banking, Shea spent the early years of his career working in public accounting by providing audit, tax, valuation and litigation support services for local businesses and nonprofit organizations. During that time, Shea also provided accounting and administrative support to Feeding Pennsylvania during a period of tremendous growth. Shea also helped to develop CPFB’s PASS program and was responsible for leading the administration of the program during the food bank’s five-year contract term. ![]() During his time at the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, Shea focused on building the finance and technology functions that supported the organization’s rapid growth and impact of its hunger-relief efforts. Before coming to Feeding Pennsylvania, Shea served as the Director of Finance and Accounting at the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank (CPFB) where he worked for over eight years. Shea currently serves as the Interim Chief Executive Officer of Feeding Pennsylvania and has served as Chief Financial Officer since May 2021. Feeding Pennsylvania fosters the exchange of ideas and information among these members to create innovative strategies and best practice guidelines for solving the problem of hunger in Pennsylvania. Our members offer a wealth of experience in and knowledge about hunger relief. We advocate for federal and state policies, programs, and initiatives to strengthen food access and hunger relief programs both in Pennsylvania and across the nation. A Voice for Hunger Reliefįeeding Pennsylvania is a strong voice for hunger relief across the state. Our combined facility size of more than 410,000 square feet and fleet of more than 70 trucks allows us to respond efficiently, in a collective capacity that exceeds that of individual agencies. ![]() We have the logistical and infrastructural capacity to handle the challenges of hunger relief in Pennsylvania. ![]() Bridging the Gapįeeding Pennsylvania can bridge the gap from local efforts to statewide assistance. Through volunteer efforts and strong community relationships, we spread awareness of food insecurity and hunger in our state. In 2018, our collective workforce included over 400 employees, who hosted more than 43,000 volunteers and facilitated more than 423,000 volunteer hours. Our member food banks span across all 67 counties and serve nearly 2 million people annually by distributing more than 164 million pounds of food throughout Pennsylvania to more than 2,700 agencies and feeding programs.
